Steve Lanese has more than nine years of investment banking experience, both in middle-market advisory and in debt and equity capital markets.  While at VRA Partners, Steve has advised clients on a variety of assignments primarily in the Software, Technology-Enabled Services,  Energy Products and Services, and Industrial sectors.

Prior to joining VRA Partners, Steve was an Associate with Stone Carlie Corporate Finance, a Saint Louis-based investment bank, where he completed multiple middle-market merger and acquisition advisory assignments and private placements across a broad range of industries.  Prior to Stone Carlie, Steve worked as an Associate in the Equity Capital Markets Group at Thomas Weisel Partners, a full-service investment bank and predecessor to Stifel Nicolaus Weisel, and as a Vice President in the Debt Capital Markets Group at Oppenheimer & Co., a full-service investment bank headquartered in New York.

Steve received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Middlebury College in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration from the Olin Business School at Washington University in Saint Louis in 2010, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and the MBA Student Body President.
