Kurt Alexander, Associate

Kurt joined VRA Partners in 2007. From 2005 to March 2007, Kurt was employed by Ernst & Young as a Staff Auditor in the Assurance & Advisory Business Services Practice. He gained significant experience in the execution of financial audits and evaluation of various purchase price allocations and successfully completed all four parts of the CPA exam. Kurt received a M.S. degree in Accounting from The University of Virginia in 2006 and an A.B. degree in Economics from Duke University in 2005.

Thomas Ragsdale, Associate

Thomas joined VRA Partners in 2010. Prior to joining VRA, Thomas was a Senior Associate at Timbervest, an Atlanta-based alternative investment firm, where he focused on the financial analysis, due diligence, and acquisition of a range of ecological investments such as mitigation and conservation banks. From 2004 to 2006, Thomas was an Associate at Arcapita, an Atlanta-based middle-market private equity firm. At Arcapita, Thomas worked on leveraged buyouts of privately held businesses primarily in the consumer and building products sectors. From 2001 to 2004, Thomas was an Analyst with Cobblestone Advisors, a division of Richmond-based Harris Williams & Co., where he completed numerous middle-market merger and acquisition advisory assignments across a broad range of industries. Thomas received a B.A. in Economics from Washington & Lee University in 2001 and an MBA from the Kenan Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008.
